Let's play the game of the Tabernacle. According to Hebrew 8:5, tabernacle is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. That is why on their way to the promised land, Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle in the desert, "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
Detail information about the tabernacle can be found in Exodus 25:40.

8. YOU ARE NOT FAR FROM HEAVEN
Trying to get inside the tabernacle? Hmmm! Can't say that that's an ideal position because by being here, you're very close yet so far away from heaven. No one can really get to heaven by just hanging around in this area (Mark 12:32-34). Regarding this, God has something to say in Isiah 1:11-15. That scripture was quoted by Jesus as recorded in Matt 15:7-9. So, you might want to stay away from this area and find the right entrance.
7. SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
Oh, this is a place for someone who doesn't even seek the truth. Is this where you want to be?
6. GATE OF HEAVEN
Ahah! You are right in front of the entrance. Are you thinking about entering through the gate yet concerned that you would be ridiculed if you do? Do you feel dreadful about hearing, "Look at that born-again guy," as though being born again is a bad thing? Many well-meaning people are guilty of preventing people from entering the gate (Mat 23:13). But Jesus said, "I'm the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. John 10:9
5. REMEMBER THIS DAY
Congratulation! You took the plunge and entered through the gate in spites of what other people said about you. You are in front of the altar where Jesus paid the prize for your sin. You should have been the one who died yet Jesus offered himself to be a sin offering in your place (Mat 16:24-27). But it's not good to stay here for long. You might still be compromising with the ungodly world outside who cause you to keep sinning. In this position, you hold heaven ticket so you're saved yet still live a double life. On the plus side, you have the understanding of what Jesus has done for you. The burnt offering alter represents the cross on which Jesus was burned figuratively.
4. CLOSER WITH HEAVEN THRONE
Wow! You're taking more steps to get closer to the throne room. You have surrendered totally to the cross by denying self but still need to get rid of residual baggage of bad behaviors or sins.
3. PERSEVERANCE WILL PAY OFF
Ahah! you're even more dedicated. You love the habit of cleaning your body and mind at the laver (washing basin) in preparation before entering the holy place (Rom 12:1-3). You no longer find it pleasurable to live a sinful life, and are totally self-controlled. The laver represents the Word of God by which the Church (you're in it) is cleansed and made holy and blameless(Eph 5:26). Also see Psalm 119:9-11.
2. YOU ARE IN THE HOLY PLACE
Yes! You're inside the holy place where the Altar of incense is placed at the center. First, your prayer here is liken to the burning incense to God (Psa 141:2), (Luk 1:8-11), (Rev 5:8), (Rev 8:3). The altar has horns at 4 corners. For animals, their horn is their power. Likewise, prayer is power. Secondly, the seven lamps stand stands on the left, representing the seven churches (Rev 1:20). Oil represents the Holy Spirit. Churches are made up of believers. So can you say that you have oil and Light in you? Lastly, showbread table is seen on the right where 12 loaves of bread were placed. Jesus said he is the bread of life (John 6:35). Moses was here and his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.(Ex 34:29)
1. THE THRONE OF GOD
This is the holy of holies where God's presence is seen as a cloud of thick smoke. Here lies the ark of covenant. Inside the Ark is the stone tablets also known as marriage certificate between God and Israelites. The ark has a cover called mercy seat. While the laws condemn you to die due to your sin, the mercy seat (lid) covers your accuser and renders the condemnation ineffective and obolete. The high priest enters this room once a year. This area is the likeness of Heaven where God dwells. You can get here only after you leave your earthly life by means of physical death or being raptured alive.
